Who is eligible to pay pensions?

Employees are eligible to join the Verdant Isle Pension Plan on the day they are hired if they meet the following criteria:

• Are at least 18 years old.
  Are under 65 years old.
  Have Caymanian or permanent residency status.

For employees who meet the age requirements but do not have Caymanian or permanent residency status (primarily expatriates), they will become eligible to join the Verdant Isle Pension Plan once they have worked continuously in the Cayman Islands for at least nine months.

By law, employees who meet these eligibility requirements must enroll in the Plan within 21 days of becoming eligible. This ensures compliance with the mandated enrollment timeline.
