What is considered as pensionable earnings?

Pensionable earnings include:

  • Wages
  • Salary
  • Leave pay
  • Fees
  • Commissions
  • Bonuses (if they are more than 20% of your basic wage or salary)
  • Gratuities

Pensionable earnings do not include:

  • Severance payments
  • Retirement or long-service recognition payments
  • Health insurance premiums
